If anybody happened to visit my blog in the last hour or so, they might have noticed me looking really stupid blogging about the inanity of the Christians over at Objective: Ministries -- before realizing the whole thing is a spoof and sheepishly deleting the posts.
Well, it's funny-ass shit and worth checking out anyway.

I love it when the unwary stumble across satire sites.
ReplyDeleteAnother fundamental satire site is www.landoverbaptist.org . Their front page says it all: so hateful, so bad, so over-the-top.
I love Mr. Gruff, the goat who loves coffee more than God. I'm sooooo ordering that t-shirt.
ReplyDeleteDon't feel so bad. The crazy often approacheth the satirical. Here's another of my, uh, discoveries. Give as good as you get.

I have visited Landover Baptist, and in fact it was the SHUTDOWN LANDOVER BAPTIST campaign on Objective: Ministries that convinced me it wasn't satire. Of course, if I'd read the FAQ, the Objective guys have this hilarious rant about how the reason Landover is so evil is because any good satire or parody site should clearly identify itself, and Landover only says so in the ToS, which is totally unacceptable. The joke of course being that Objective doesn't identify itself as parody ANYWHERE.
